1. The working principle of dried bagasse biomass pellet processing equipment

The principle behind the dry bagasse biomass pellet processing equipment is the coupling of mechanical forces (extrusion and shearing) and thermal energy (frictional heat and external heating). Mechanical force narrows interfiber gaps and shapes the pellets, while thermal energy softens the fibers and activates natural binders, ultimately transforming the loose bagasse into high-density, highly stable biomass pellets. How to use the TONY pellet production line to make pellets from dried bagasse?

The process mainly includes the following steps and equipment:

1. Use TONY effective hammer mill to crush the slightly larger bagasse into 8-14 mm bagasse.If customer has enough Investment budget,he can also chose TONY Special Cutting Machine for bagasse which will be more expensive than the hammer mill.

2.Use TONY large hydraulic storage silo to storage  8-14 mm bagasse.

3. Use TONY vertical ring die pellet machine to produce pellets with a diameter of 6-8 mm.

4. Use TONY galvanized pellets cooler to cool the pellets from 80-90°C to 20-30°C.

5. Use TONY ton packing machine to pack the pellets into bags, each weighing 1 ton.

2.Bagasse Storage Process:

A. This process is mainly used to storage the bagasse that comes out of the hammer mill.It is hydraulic galvanized storage bin which is more stalbe and Bagasse in it is not easy to be blocked. 

B. The customer chooses TONY Brand Large Hydraulic Storage Silo to storage the bagasse  that comes out of  the hammer mill.This process can be optional by customer.If customer do not chose the storage bin,he can storage the Bagasse on the ground directly which may need some labour.

The core value of bagasse biomass pellets lies in their excellent energy supply. Their energy characteristics are reflected in the following aspects:

1. High calorific value and high combustion efficiency

Baggasse fibers have a high density, and after compression into pellets, the bulk density can reach 1.1-1.3 g/cm³. Its low calorific value is typically 18-20 MJ/kg (approximately 4,300-4,800 kcal/kg), close to that of medium-quality bituminous coal (approximately 20-25 MJ/kg) and significantly higher than straw pellets (14-16 MJ/kg) and wood chip pellets (16-18 MJ/kg). The pellets' dense structure ensures excellent air circulation during combustion, resulting in a heat conversion rate exceeding 85% and no noticeable black smoke, thus avoiding the "high energy, low efficiency" drawback of bulk bagasse combustion.

2. Low combustion residue and high ash utilization.

Energy-grade bagasse has an extremely low ash content (typically only 0.5%-1.5%), far lower than coal (10%-30%) and straw (5%-8%). The resulting ash is finely granulated and rich in elements such as potassium and silicon. It can be directly used as potash fertilizer for farmland or landscaping, completing the "energy-bagasse-agriculture" cycle and reducing solid waste disposal costs.
