1. Processing adaptability

Sugar bagasse has a loose fiber structure. After crushing and extrusion molding, it is easy to form pellets with a density of 1.1-1.3g/cm³. During the molding process, lignin can naturally act as a binder, without the need to add chemical binders, ensuring the natural properties of the product.

2. Combustion performance: high calorific value and stable combustion

(1) Considerable energy density

The low calorific value of the molded sugar bagasse pellets is about 16-18MJ/kg, which is slightly lower than wood chip pellets (18-20MJ/kg), but higher than rice husk and straw pellets (13-15MJ/kg). It can meet the heat requirements of small and medium-sized boilers, household heating stoves and other equipment. Burning 1 ton of pellets is equivalent to the heat output of about 0.5 tons of standard coal. 

(2) Strong combustion stability 

The granular structure ensures uniform ventilation during combustion, making it less likely to cause "coking" (the ash content is only 2%-4%).The combustion efficiency can reach over 85%, which is more than double that of loose burning of sugarcane bagasse (efficiency of about 40%), and reduces the emission of unburned particulate matter in the flue gas.
