1. The working principle of dried straw biomass pellet processing equipment

(1) Pretreatment: Dried straw is collected, dried, and crushed under certain temperature and pressure.

(2) Compression molding: Special biomass solidification molding equipment is used to squeeze the pretreated dry straw into regular, dense rod-shaped, block-shaped, or granular fuel.

Eliminating the core drying step, the production line only requires three steps: crushing - forming - cooling. This reduces the number of steps compared to wet straw projects, shortening the production cycle by 30%. Furthermore, no specialized personnel are required to operate the drying equipment, reducing training costs.

2. Lower Equipment Failure Rate: 

Dry straw has a crisp texture and is less likely to stick to the crusher screen during crushing. The forming process eliminates the mold clogging and loose pellets caused by high moisture content. The equipment failure rate is 20%-30% lower than that of wet straw projects, reducing annual downtime for maintenance by over 50 hours. This ensures continuous production and improves annual capacity utilization (reaching over 85%, compared to approximately 70% for wet straw projects).

Storage Advantages of Straw Pellets

The pellet form fundamentally solves the problems of traditional straw feed: difficult storage and expensive transportation, significantly reducing back-end costs for farms.

1. High Density, Less Storage Space:

The pellet density reaches 0.8-1.0g/cm³, 10-15 times that of loose straw. One ton of pellets requires only 1.2-1.5m³ of storage space, saving over 80% of warehouse space compared to loose straw. They are particularly suitable for small and medium-sized farms with limited space.

2. Moisture-Resistant, Long Shelf Life:

The pellet surface is firm and smooth, making it less susceptible to moisture absorption. Under dry and ventilated conditions, it can be stored for 6-12 months. Loose straw, on the other hand, can easily become moldy and spoil after just one to two months. This prevents livestock and poultry diseases (such as enteritis) and feed waste caused by moldy feed. 

3. Low transportation loss and cost savings:

The pellets are uniformly shaped and dust-free, resulting in a transport loss rate of less than 3% (compared to approximately 10%-15% for loose straw). They also require no specialized transport equipment and can be transported by ordinary trucks. The transportation cost per ton of feed is 40%-50% lower than for loose straw.
