1. The working principle of dried sunflower husk biomass pellet processing equipment

The principle of the dried Sunflower HuskPellet equipment is to physically compress dried sunflower seed shells into pellets. During the pelleting process, the biomass dried sunflower seed shell raw material falls vertically into the feed port. After the rotation of the pressure rollers, the material is continuously and evenly distributed on the inner surface of the mold cavity. Under the crushing of the pressure rollers, the powdery material passes through the holes of the mold. During this process, the material is subjected to high pressure and high temperature, which produces physical changes or appropriate chemical changes, causing the powdery material to form a continuously elongated cylindrical solid body. Then, the pellets are cut by the cutting blade and discharged from the discharge port. At this point, the pelleting process is completed.

Dried sunflower husk is a major byproduct of dried sunflower husk processing. The world's largest producer of dried sunflower husk (annual output exceeding 3 million tons) generates a large amount of shell waste annually (approximately 30-40% of the total weight). This waste is typically incinerated or landfilled, causing environmental pollution. Biomass pellets, on the other hand, are compressed fuel or feed ingredients that can be used for power generation, heating, or animal feed, and there is strong market demand. 1. Environmental and Policy Dividends: The escalating global climate crisis and China's "dual carbon" goals (peak carbon by 2030, carbon neutrality by 2060) are driving the resource utilization of waste. The newly revised Renewable Energy Law in 2025 provides subsidies for biomass projects (such as tax breaks of 200-500 yuan per ton of pellets). Dried sunflower husk, as a "zero-cost raw material," can maximize profits and reduce carbon footprint. 2. Increased Economic Value: Dried sunflower husk itself has a high calorific value (approximately 16-18 MJ/kg). After processing, the pellets can replace coal or wood pellets, and the selling price can reach 800-1200 yuan/ton (depending on quality). This is more than 10 times the value added compared to selling the raw material directly (the purchase price of the shells is only 50-100 yuan/ton).
