1. The working principle of dried sunflower husk biomass pellet processing equipment

Sunflower husks themselves do not contain strong adhesives; their formation relies primarily on two core mechanisms:

(1) Physical extrusion: The pressure rollers of the pellet mill generate enormous pressure (typically 50-100 MPa) between themselves and the ring die, compressing the cellulose, hemicellulose, and other components in the husks tightly to form a physical bond.

(2) Lignin softening: During the extrusion process, the material generates heat due to friction (temperatures can reach over 100°C), softening the lignin in the husks and creating viscosity, which acts as a "natural adhesive," further enhancing the firmness of the pellets.

Sunflower husk pellets, as fuel processed from agricultural and forestry waste, possess environmental advantages that form their core competitiveness, primarily in three aspects:

1. Low carbon emissions: 

Sunflower husks are a biomass resource. The carbon dioxide released during combustion can be absorbed by plant photosynthesis, forming a "carbon cycle." Compared to coal (which emits approximately 2.6 tons of carbon dioxide per ton burned), its net carbon emissions are close to zero, meeting the "dual carbon" target requirements.

2. Low pollutant emissions: 

During pellet combustion, the sulfur content (typically <0.05%) and nitrogen content (typically <0.5%) are far lower than those of coal (sulfur content is generally >0.5%). Combined with specialized combustion equipment (such as biomass boilers), emissions of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides can be significantly reduced. Simultaneously, the dense pellet structure ensures complete combustion, resulting in dust emissions that are more than 60% lower than those of bulk sunflower seed shells or straw.

3. Waste Resource Utilization: 

Sunflower husks, which would otherwise require stockpiling or incineration, are converted into fuel, avoiding land occupation, bacterial growth, and pollution caused by uncontrolled burning. This achieves "turning waste into treasure" and reduces solid waste pollution.
