1. The working principle of dried sunflower husk biomass pellet processing equipment
Feeding Stage: The raw materials enter the equipment through the feed port and are ready for the next step of processing.
High-Pressure Compression: After the raw materials enter the compression chamber, they are subjected to strong compression force and are squeezed into strips or other shapes to enhance the bonding force between the pellets.
High-Temperature Treatment: The compressed raw materials enter the high-temperature furnace for heat treatment to promote the pyrolysis and polymerization of components such as lignin, and further improve the calorific value and corrosion resistance of the pellets.
Cooling And Molding: The raw materials after high-temperature treatment need to be cooled by the cooling system to prevent overheating, deformation or combustion, and then molded into regular granular solid fuels under the action of the mold or extrusion plate.
Discharging Stage: The molded pellets are discharged through the discharge port to become the final biomass pellet fuel product.
2. Characteristics of dried sunflower husk biomass pellet processing equipment
(1) Wear-resistant and impact-resistant design to adapt to the hardness of sunflower husk.
The mold and pressure rollers are made of highly wear-resistant materials (such as bearing steel, carburized and quenched), with a hardness of HRC55-60 or higher, capable of resisting wear and impact on sunflower husk and extending the service life of vulnerable parts. The surface of the pressure rollers is mostly designed with anti-slip teeth or grooves to enhance the clamping force on the sunflower husk and avoid the "slippage and feeding difficulties" caused by the hollow and smooth surface of the rice husk.
(2) Precise temperature control to ensure glue-free molding.
Equipped with an independent temperature control system to meet the softening requirements of lignin in sunflower husk, eliminating the need for adhesives and achieving "natural bonding molding," reducing costs and making it more environmentally friendly.
The mold opening size is mostly 6-12mm (8mm is commonly used), ensuring that the rice husk is fully compressed and densed within the mold, with a particle density of 1.1-1.3g/cm³, thereby improving combustion efficiency.
(3) Compact structure and convenient operation and maintenance:
Most adopt a vertical ring die structure (commonly used in small and medium-sized production lines, offering high output and strong stability), occupying a small area and allowing for flexible installation, suitable for rural cooperatives, small processing plants, and similar locations.
Core components (dies, pressure rollers) are easy to disassemble; daily cleaning and replacement of vulnerable parts require no complex tools, resulting in low maintenance costs; some equipment is equipped with an automatic lubrication system to reduce mechanical wear.
(4) High output adaptability and reasonable energy consumption:
The machine model can be flexibly selected according to the raw material supply; the motor power is reasonably matched, lower than the energy consumption of mining and transporting ordinary fossil fuels such as coal and natural gas.

The Sunflower Husk biomass pellet project is a resource utilization project that uses agricultural waste (Sunflower Husk) as raw material to process it into high-density biomass fuel. Project Foundation – Raw Material Supply
1. Raw Material Sources:
Primarily from sunflower processing plants, large sunflower planting cooperatives, or individual farmers.
2. Raw Material Requirements:
A stable annual supply must be ensured. Small-scale projects (10 tons of pellets per day) require approximately 15,000 tons of Sunflower Husk annually; medium-sized projects (30 tons per day) require over 45,000 tons of Sunflower Husk annually.
3. Raw Material Costs:
The purchase price of Sunflower Husk is typically low. It is recommended to keep the transportation radius within 50 kilometers; otherwise, transportation costs will increase significantly.

The core value of Sunflower Husk pellets lies in their superior energy characteristics, capable of meeting energy demands in various scenarios.
1. Meets calorific value standards, a substitute for medium-quality coal:
Sunflower Husk pellets have a lower heating value of approximately 4000-4500 kcal/kg, close to that of medium-quality coal (4500-5000 kcal/kg). During combustion, its heat release is stable, allowing direct use in industrial boilers, household heating stoves, and other equipment without requiring modifications to the combustion system, demonstrating strong adaptability as a coal substitute.
2. High combustion efficiency and low residue:
Pellet density reaches 1.1-1.3 g/cm³, far exceeding that of bulk Sunflower Husk (0.1-0.2 g/cm³). During combustion, "air combustion" or "coking" is less likely to occur, achieving a combustion efficiency of over 85% (compared to only about 60% for bulk Sunflower Husk). The ash residue rate after combustion is only 5%-8%, and the ash residue is easy to clean, reducing equipment maintenance costs.
3. Low moisture content and stable storage:
During processing, the moisture content of Sunflower Husk is controlled at 8%-12%, far lower than that of natural Sunflower Husk (12%-20%). It is less prone to mold and clumping during storage and can be stored at room temperature for more than 6 months without special moisture-proof facilities, reducing storage difficulty and losses.
