1. The working principle of dried sunflower husk biomass pellet processing equipment

Sunflower husks themselves do not contain strong adhesives; their formation relies primarily on two core mechanisms:

(1) Physical extrusion: The pressure rollers of the pellet mill generate enormous pressure (typically 50-100 MPa) between themselves and the ring die, compressing the cellulose, hemicellulose, and other components in the husks tightly to form a physical bond.

(2) Lignin softening: During the extrusion process, the material generates heat due to friction (temperatures can reach over 100°C), softening the lignin in the husks and creating viscosity, which acts as a "natural adhesive," further enhancing the firmness of the pellets.

The Sunflower Husk biomass pellet project is a resource utilization project that uses agricultural waste (Sunflower Husk) as raw material to process it into high-density biomass fuel. Its core advantages lie in the easy availability of raw materials, strong policy support, and stable market demand, making it suitable for implementation in major sunflower producing areas. The project can be divided into three models: small-scale family workshops, medium-sized township processing plants, and large-scale industrial production lines.

Project Foundation – Raw Material Supply

1. Raw Material Sources:

Primarily from sunflower processing plants, large sunflower planting cooperatives, or individual farmers.

2. Raw Material Requirements:

A stable annual supply must be ensured. Small-scale projects (10 tons of pellets per day) require approximately 15,000 tons of Sunflower Husk annually; medium-sized projects (30 tons per day) require over 45,000 tons of Sunflower Husk annually.

3. Raw Material Costs:

The purchase price of Sunflower Husk is typically low. It is recommended to keep the transportation radius within 50 kilometers; otherwise, transportation costs will increase significantly.

Sunflower Husk pellets meet the environmental requirements of the "dual-carbon" policy, with pollution emissions throughout their entire life cycle far lower than those of fossil fuels.

1.Extremely Low Pollutant Emissions:

Combustion produces almost no black smoke; sulfur dioxide emissions are below 50 mg/m³ (only 1/10-1/5 of coal), nitrogen oxide emissions are below 200 mg/m³, and particulate matter emissions can be controlled below 30 mg/m³. No complex waste gas treatment equipment is required to meet national environmental standards, making it particularly suitable for industrial enterprises and residential buildings with strict emission requirements.

2. Net-Zero Carbon Cycle Emissions:

Sunflower Husk is agricultural waste. The carbon dioxide absorbed during its growth is essentially balanced with the carbon dioxide released during combustion, making it a "carbon-neutral" fuel. This helps users achieve their carbon reduction targets and helps alleviate the pressure brought by the "dual-carbon" policy.

3. Ash can be used as a resource:

The ash after combustion is rich in elements such as silicon and potassium, which can be directly used as organic fertilizer to return to the field (to improve soil permeability), or processed into silicon fertilizer and potassium fertilizer, realizing the recycling of "fuel-ash-fertilizer" and avoiding waste pollution.
