1. The working principle of wet EFB biomass pellet processing equipment
The core molding process uses the pelletizer's roller extrusion to force the crushed EFB material into the ring die hole of the mold. The high temperature in the mold (60-90℃ generated by extrusion friction) softens the lignin (acting as a natural adhesive, without the need for additional adhesives), and finally extrudes it into cylindrical pellets (usually 6-8mm in diameter and 10-30mm in length).
2. Characteristics of wet EFB biomass pellet processing equipment
(1) Drying equipment: high heat exchange efficiency, anti-sticking, flexible adjustment of material residence time according to EFB humidity to ensure drying uniformity
(2) Crushing equipment: high speed, strong shearing, suitable for coarse fibers, can repeatedly impact EFB coarse fibers to avoid the problem of "unbreakable and entangled hammer pieces"
(3) Pelletizing equipment: wear-resistant ring die + high extrusion strength to activate lignin. The ring die uses double-layer wear-resistant alloy steel to withstand the intense friction of EFB coarse fibers. The diameter of the pressure roller is increased to avoid local overload and cracking of the ring die

3. Application scenarios of wet EFB biomass pellet processing equipment
(1) Palm oil production requires a large amount of steam (for palm fruit cooking and oil extraction), which traditionally relies on coal-fired or natural gas boilers. EFB is a direct waste product of palm oil processing and can be directly used as boiler fuel after being processed into pellets.
(2) Food factories (baking, beverage production) and textile factories (printing and dyeing heating, drying) require clean heating (to avoid fuel impurities affecting product quality). EFB pellets burn without odor and heavy metal pollution, meeting food-grade production environment requirements.

Palm fruit bunches are made into pellets
Why are palm fruit bunches made into pellets? Can't we put palm biomass directly into boilers or power plants? The reasons are as follows:
