1. The working principle of wet EFB biomass pellet processing equipment

Palm kernel pelletizing equipment is specialized machinery that transforms palm waste materials (such as palm shells, palm fibers, and palm kernel residue) into high-density biomass pellets.  Its core process involves three key steps: "raw material pretreatment → extrusion molding → cooling and shaping." Through physical compression and temperature control, this equipment transforms loose palm waste materials into pellets with a consistent shape and high calorific value.

2. Characteristics of wet EFB biomass pellet processing equipment

Palm kernel processing equipment features distinct advantages, being highly adaptable to the characteristics of palm kernel raw materials and offering efficient functionality. Firstly, it boasts strong adaptability to raw material processing.  To address the hard shell and long fibers of palm kernels, the equipment uses a crusher to grind the raw material to 4-14mm, and then a dryer adjusts the moisture content to 10-15%, meeting the requirements for pelletizing. Secondly, it features high functional integration, often incorporating a "pre-treatment - pelletizing - cooling - packaging" integrated design.  The ring die pelletizer performs high-pressure pelletizing, followed by seamless integration of cooling and packaging equipment, simplifying the process and improving efficiency. Thirdly, it is environmentally friendly and durable.  It relies primarily on the natural lignin binding of the raw material, reducing the need for additives; key components such as bearing steel and ring dies are highly wear-resistant, lowering maintenance costs and ensuring stable operation.

3.Wet Palm Dust Drying Process:

A.This process is mainly used to dry the palm dust  from 40% to 10-15%.

B.Capacity:4-5 Ton/Hour.

C.TONY use 1 set of 1.8*20m  rotary drum dryer for this process, TONY hot blast stove is made of firebrick pan, shell with H steel plate as the frame.   There are 3 layers of fire blocking device inside, which can effectively prevent the fire from entering the tumble dryer.Customers can choose to use waste wood, biomass pellets, natural gas, etc. as fuel for the hot air furnace

Raw material basis for EFB biomass pellet processing projects

1. Stable Source and Low Cost: EFB is a core waste product of palm oil processing. Every ton of palm fruit processed produces approximately 0.2-0.25 tons of fresh EFB (60%-75% moisture). The raw material supply is extremely abundant.

2. Procurement Method: Primarily purchased from palm oil mills. In many cases, to avoid contamination from EFB stockpiles, mills will provide EFB for free or at a low price. Mills only cover transportation costs, with a recommended transportation radius of ≤30 kilometers to control costs.

3. Raw Material Characteristics: Contains cellulose (40%-45%), hemicellulose (25%-30%), and lignin (15%-20%). Lignin acts as a natural binder, eliminating the need for artificial binders in pelleting, reducing processing costs.

The advantages of palm kernel pellets extend beyond the energy sector; they offer unique value in horticulture, industry, and other applications:

High Suitability for Horticulture: Made from palm fibers, the pellets are soft and breathable, suitable as a mulch (for moisture retention, nutrient preservation, and weed control) or as a potting mix (mixed with peat moss to improve drainage).  They are naturally antibacterial, resistant to mold, and have a lifespan 3-6 months longer than straw-based substrates.
