The essence of dry tray pellet processing lies in the continuous process of "physical pretreatment (removal of impurities and pulverization) → high-pressure extrusion molding (leveraging the natural bonding of lignin) → cooling and stabilization." This process transforms low-density, difficult-to-store wood raw materials into high-density, highly efficient, and easily transportable and storable pellets. The high-pressure extrusion of the ring die pelletizer and the softening and bonding of lignin are the core elements of pellet formation, while the coordinated operation of each process ensures both finished product quality and production efficiency.

Wood pellets (also known as "biomass pellet fuel") are a key alternative to traditional fossil fuels like coal and heavy oil due to their high combustion efficiency, low pollution emissions, and convenient storage and transportation. They are also the most popular application for wood pallet pellet processing equipment, including:

(1)Industrial Boiler/Kiln Fuel:

A. This process is mainly used to grind wooden pallets with nails less than 1.3 m  in width into wood chips with a size of 25-55 mm. The final size of the wood chips can be adjusted by replacing the screen with different sizes and replacing or adjusting the hammer heads with different specifications.

The market is the foundation for a sustainable project. Long-term profitability must be achieved through "customer lock-in + market expansion + brand building":

1. Target "strong-demand customers" and sign long-term supply agreements.

Prioritize your partnership with industrial boiler users (such as food factories, chemical plants, and textile mills), heating companies (rural centralized heating, residential heating), and livestock farms (for greenhouse heating and livestock and poultry insulation). These customers have stable demand (usually exceeding 1,000 tons per year). One- to three-year supply contracts can be signed with a price adjustment mechanism (e.g., in line with coal/natural gas price fluctuations) to ensure consistent sales.

1. Stable performance:

strong adaptability and easy operation. The physical properties and combustion performance of pallet pellet fuel are superior to those of traditional biomass fuel (such as loose straw and logs), and it is easier to meet the needs of industrial and civilian scenarios: 

(1) High energy density and easy storage and transportation:

After compression molding, the volume of pellet fuel is only 1/5~1/3 of the raw material (loose pallet fragments), the density can reach 1.1~1.3t/m³, and the energy density is about 4200~4800kcal/kg (close to medium-quality coal); and the particle shape is regular and not easy to absorb moisture, so it can be stored in ordinary warehouses. There is no scattering or dust during transportation, and the logistics cost is more than 30% lower than that of loose biomass. 

(2) Stable combustion and precise temperature control:

When pellet fuel burns, the flame is uniform and the heat release is stable. It will not flicker like loose straw. It is suitable for scenarios that require a stable heat source (such as industrial boilers, drying equipment, and home heating stoves). When paired with a dedicated pellet burner, it can achieve automatic feeding and temperature control, and the operation difficulty is lower than that of traditional fuels.

2. Economic advantage: cost control

(1) Low raw material cost:

Waste pallets belong to the category of "waste recycling" and the purchase price is much lower than that of raw materials such as logs and corn stalks, which directly reduces the production cost of pellet fuel.

(2) The use cost is lower than fossil energy:

From the perspective of terminal use cost, the unit heat cost of pallet pellet fuel is about 1.2 to 1.5 times that of coal, but much lower than natural gas (about 1/2 to 2/3 of natural gas) and liquefied gas (about 1/3 to 1/2 of liquefied gas). For industrial heat use (such as food processing, building material drying), commercial heating and other scenarios, long-term use can significantly reduce energy expenditure.

The raw material of the TONY pellet machine can be all kinds of biomass which can be burned directly.

2. Pls confirm what the size of your raw material is.

If your raw material is wood logs or wood pallets whose size is big, then you will need a wood chipper.

If your raw material is wood chips, then you will need the hammer mill.

3. Is your raw material dry or wet?

The best raw material before going into the pellet machine should be 6-14mm sawdust with a moisture content of 10-15%. If your raw material is wet, then you will also need the dryer.

4. After that, please confirm what capacity you need per hour for the finished pellets.

5. Will you need the pellet cooler?

The temperature after the pellet machine will be about 70-80℃. It is better to use a pellet cooler to cool down the pellets from 80℃ to 20-30℃ to get quality pellets.
