1.The working principle of dried wood chips biomass pellet processing equipment
The core principle of the dry wood chip processing biomass pellet equipment is to transform loose, low-density dry wood chips into high-density, easy-to-store and transport columnar pellets through the process of "pretreatment → extrusion molding → cooling and shaping". Raw Material Advantages of Dry Wood Chips for Biomass Pellets
Dry wood chips, as the core raw material for this project, offer the advantages of a wide range of sources, low cost, and easy storage. This fundamentally addresses the pain points of biomass projects, often associated with raw material shortages and price fluctuations:
1.Wide-ranging and stable raw material sources
Major sources include: wood processing plant scraps (such as sawdust and wood chips), forestry logging residues (such as branches and trunk segments), fruit tree pruning branches (such as waste branches from apple and pear orchards), and waste from wood-based panel manufacturers. In regions with abundant timber resources (such as the forested areas of Northeast China, Southwest China, and East China), the raw material collection radius can typically be controlled within 50 kilometers, resulting in low transportation costs and year-round supply with no significant seasonal fluctuations (dry wood chips with a moisture content of ≤15% can be stored for long periods).
2.Low raw material cost, reducing production costs
The purchase price of dry wood chips is significantly lower than that of raw materials such as straw and rice husks. Some wood processing plants even provide them free of charge (only the transportation costs are covered) to process the waste. This offers significant profit potential.
3.Simple raw material pretreatment, requiring no additional investment.
Dry wood chips are inherently low in moisture and easy to crush (typically 10%-15% moisture content, requiring no additional drying). They are 5-10mm thick, and can be crushed into 3-5mm wood powder using a standard hammer mill.
