1. The working principle of  wet straw biomass pellet processing equipment

The working process of the equipment includes the following main steps:

Feeding Stage‌: The raw materials enter the equipment through the feed port and are ready for the next step of processing.

‌Preliminary Crushing‌: Before the raw materials enter the compression chamber, they usually need to undergo preliminary crushing to ensure that the raw material particles are uniform in size, which is convenient for subsequent high-pressure compression and molding.

High-Pressure Compression‌: After the raw materials enter the compression chamber, they are subjected to strong compression force and are squeezed into strips or other shapes to enhance the bonding force between the particles.

‌High-Temperature Treatment‌: The compressed raw materials enter the high-temperature furnace for heat treatment to promote the pyrolysis and polymerization of components such as lignin, and further improve the calorific value and corrosion resistance of the particles.

Cooling And Molding‌: The raw materials after high-temperature treatment need to be cooled by the cooling system to prevent overheating, deformation or combustion, and then molded into regular granular solid fuels under the action of the mold or extrusion plate.

‌Discharging Stage‌: The molded particles are discharged through the discharge port to become the final biomass pellet fuel product.

3.Straw Dust Storage Process:

A. This process is mainly used to storage the straw dust that comes out of the hammer mill.It is hydraulic galvanized storage silo which is more stable and straw dust in it is not easy to be blocked. 

B.TONY Brand Large Hydraulic Storage Silo to storage the straw dust that comes out of  the hammer mill.This process can be optional by customer.If customer do not chose the storage bin,he can storage the sawdust on the ground directly which may need some labour.

4.Drying Process:

Advantages of Wet Straw Biomass Pellets

Processing straw into biomass pellets not only offers numerous advantages in environmental protection, economic and social development, and improving the energy structure, but also offers excellent combustion performance. The main advantages are as follows:

1. Calorific Value and Combustion Residues

The calorific value and ash content of straw biomass pellets after combustion are approximately 10% lower than those of medium-quality coal. However, straw biomass pellets burn completely under normal operating conditions. Coal, on the other hand, burns incompletely, leaving ash containing 10% to 15% combustible components. Therefore, in practical applications, the effective calorific value of the two is comparable.

2. Combustibility

Straw biomass pellets have better ignition properties than coal. They ignite easily, significantly reducing the ignition time required for combustion.

3. Solid Emissions

Straw biomass pellets have significantly lower solid emissions than coal. This not only reduces slag disposal costs but also reduces environmental pollution. Solid emissions from straw biomass pellets are primarily ash, accounting for approximately 0.4% to 7.0% of the total weight. In contrast, solid emissions from coal combustion consist of a mixture of ash, alkali, and unburned coal, accounting for approximately 25% to 40% of the total weight.

4. Air Pollution and Corrosion

Coal causes significantly higher levels of air pollution and boiler corrosion than straw biomass pellets. Coal smoke contains a large amount of particulate carbon as well as toxic and corrosive gases such as sulfur dioxide and carbon monoxide. Straw biomass pellets are primarily composed of C-H organic matter, and their flue gas contains no particulate carbon or sulfur dioxide. Instead, it is primarily composed of C-H volatile gases, with virtually no sulfur dioxide or carbon monoxide. The smoke color during combustion is below Ringelmann Class I, significantly reducing air pollution and carbon dioxide emissions, making straw biomass pellets an internationally recognized "clean fuel."

5. Cost and Time Savings

Compared to burning coal, using straw biomass pellets as a boiler fuel can save costs and time. For example, using straw biomass pellets in a 0.5-ton boiler can reduce fuel costs by 11% and shorten operating time by 34% compared to burning coal.
