1. The working principle of wet straw biomass pellet processing equipment
The core principle of wet straw pellet processing equipment (such as wood chip pellet machines) is to convert biomass feedstock into high-density pellet fuel through mechanical compression. The basic process involves three steps: feedstock pretreatment (crushing, pulverizing, and drying), mechanical compression, and finished product processing (cooling and packaging). For example, in a ring die pellet machine, a motor is connected to a reducer via a coupling, driving the ring die. The feedstock enters the compression zone under gravity, where compression rollers squeeze the material into the ring die holes. After the pellets are formed in the die, they are cut into pellets of fixed length by a cutter.
2. Characteristics of wet straw biomass pellet processing equipment
A wide range of applicable raw materials: Raw materials include wood (logs, wood chips, sawdust), crops (straw, rice husks, corn cobs, sugarcane bagasse), herbaceous plants (reeds, grass, bamboo) and nut shells (peanut shells, palm fiber). By adjusting the crushing and grinding parameters, the system can adapt to raw materials of different hardness and fiber content (for example, hardwood requires stronger crushing capacity, while straw requires particle size control to prevent agglomeration).
There are clear requirements for raw material pretreatment: the moisture content of the raw material must be controlled between 10% and 15% (too high a moisture content will cause sticky material clogging, and too low a moisture content will result in insufficient particle strength), and the particle size is usually required to be between 4 and 14 mm. Therefore, the equipment system usually integrates drying and screening modules to ensure that the raw materials meet the standards.
Modular configuration: A typical production line consists of "crushing equipment → crushing equipment (fine grinding) → drying equipment (drying) → granulating equipment (granulating) → cooling equipment (cooling) → screening equipment (sorting) → packaging equipment". Each module can be flexibly increased or decreased according to production capacity requirements (for example, when the production line is small, some auxiliary equipment can be omitted).
Continuous operation: Through the connection of equipment such as conveyor belts and screw conveyors, automated continuous production from raw material input to finished product output is achieved.
