3.Drying Process:

Physical characteristics of straw biomass pellet fuel: High density, easy storage, solving the problems of "scattered and light" of straw
This is the most obvious characteristic that distinguishes pellets from loose straw, fundamentally solving the problems of storage and transportation of straw.
1. High density, small volume: The density of pellets can reach 1.1-1.3g/cm³, which is 15-20 times that of loose straw (0.05-0.08g/cm³). Under the same weight, the volume is significantly reduced. For example, 1 ton of loose straw requires 20m³ of storage space, while 1 ton of pellets only requires 1m³, increasing the warehouse utilization rate by more than 95%, and significantly reducing the storage site rental cost.
2. Regular shape, easy transportation: The diameter of pellets is mostly 6-12mm, and the length is 5-20mm. The shape is regular and there is no dust scattering. It can be transported using ordinary trucks or bagged transportation, without the need for special transportation equipment. The transportation cost per ton of pellets is 60% lower than that of loose straw, and there is no material loss during transportation (the loss of loose straw during transportation is about 5%-10%).
3. Resistant to moisture absorption, easy to preserve: The surface of the pellets is tight and smooth, and it is not easy to absorb moisture from the air. It can be stored for 6-12 months in a ventilated and dry environment. While loose straw is prone to mold and deterioration after 1 month of storage, it significantly extends the shelf life of the raw material, facilitating off-peak production and sales.
