1. The working principle of wet wood chips biomass pellet processing equipment
The core principle of wet wood chip pellet processing equipment is to convert biomass feedstock into high-density pellet fuel through mechanical compression. The basic process involves three steps: feedstock pretreatment (crushing and drying), mechanical compression, and finished product processing (cooling and packaging). For example, in a ring die pellet mill, a motor is directly connected to a reducer, driving the ring die. The feedstock enters the compression zone under gravity, where rollers squeeze the material into the ring die holes. After the pellets are formed in the die, they are cut into pellets of fixed lengths by a cutter.
2. Characteristics of wet wood chips biomass pellet processing equipment
(1) Strong adaptability to raw materials, compatible with a variety of biomass
Wide processing capacity: Processable raw materials include wood (logs, wood chips, wood shavings, sawdust), crops (straw, rice husks, corn cobs), herbaceous plants (reeds, pasture), etc. By adjusting the crushing and pulverization parameters, it can adapt to raw materials of different hardness and fiber content (for example, hardwood requires stronger crushing capacity, while straw needs to control the pulverization particle size to prevent agglomeration).
Clear requirements for raw material pretreatment: The moisture content of the raw material must be controlled at 8%-15% (too high a moisture content can easily cause sticking and mold clogging, while too low a moisture content can lead to insufficient particle strength), and the particle size is usually required to be 1-3mm. Therefore, the equipment system usually integrates drying and screening modules to ensure that the raw materials meet the standards.
(2) Modularization of core equipment and continuous production process
Modular combination: A typical production line consists of "crushing equipment (coarse crushing) → grinding equipment (fine crushing) → drying equipment (humidification) → granulating equipment (molding) → cooling equipment (cooling) → screening equipment (screening) → packaging equipment". Each module can be flexibly increased or decreased according to production capacity requirements (for example, for small production lines, some auxiliary equipment can be omitted).
Continuous operation: Through the connection of various links such as conveyor belts and screw feeders, automated continuous production from raw material input to finished product output is achieved.

A.This process is mainly used to dry the sawdust from 40% to 10-15%.
