1. The working principle of wet wood chips biomass pellet processing equipment

The core of the wet wood chip pellet processing equipment is to convert wet wood chips with a moisture content of 15%-35% into high-density pellets. Its principle revolves around two major systems: pretreatment and forming, addressing the problems of wet material clumping and difficulty in forming.

The pretreatment system paves the way for subsequent forming. The comminution module first processes the wet wood chips, which are then passed through a dedicated pulverizer. High-speed hammers impact, shear, and squeeze the chips to refine them. Anti-stick lining prevents clumping, and a screen selects wet wood chips with a particle size of 3-8mm and a fiber length of 5-15mm, increasing their surface area for subsequent compression. If the wet wood chips have a moisture content exceeding 20%, a dryer is required to dry them to a moisture content of between 10% and 15%. The conveying process uses screw conveyors or belt conveyors to deliver the raw materials at a constant speed. A magnetic separator removes metal impurities and prevents wear.

The core forming system achieves compression and final shaping. A feeding device delivers the pretreated dry wood chips into the pelletizer to prevent blockage and underfilling. A motor drives the rollers to rotate, squeezing the sawdust into a die with shaped holes. The pressure softens the lignin in the sawdust and tightly binds the fibers. The transmission system ensures stable roller power, uniform extrusion pressure, and consistent pellet density. Finally, a cutting device cuts the wet sawdust squeezed from the die holes into a set length, completing the production of high-density pellets.

(1) Strong adaptability to raw materials, compatible with a variety of biomass

Wide processing capacity: Processable raw materials include wood (logs, wood chips, shavings, sawdust), crops (straw, rice husks, corn cobs), herbaceous plants (reeds, pasture), etc. By adjusting the crushing and pulverization parameters, it can adapt to raw materials of different hardness and fiber content (for example, hardwood requires stronger crushing capacity, while straw needs to control the pulverization particle size to prevent agglomeration).

Modular combination: A typical production line consists of "crushing equipment (coarse crushing) → grinding equipment (fine crushing) → drying equipment (humidification) → granulating equipment (molding) → cooling equipment (cooling) → screening equipment (screening) → packaging equipment".
