1. The working principle of wet bagasse biomass pellet processing equipment

The core principle of biomass pellet processing equipment (such as pellet mills) is to convert biomass feedstock into high-density pellet fuel through mechanical compression. The basic process involves three steps: feedstock pretreatment (crushing and drying), mechanical compression, and finished product processing (cooling and packaging). For example, in a ring die pellet mill, a motor connected to a reducer via a coupling drives the ring die. Feedstock enters the compression zone under gravity, where compression rollers squeeze the material into the ring die holes. After the pellets are formed in the die, a cutter cuts them into pellets of fixed lengths.

2. Characteristics of wet bagasse biomass pellet processing equipment

High adaptability to raw materials; capable of processing various types of biomass.

(1) Wide range of applicable raw materials:  Raw materials include wood (logs, wood chips, sawdust), agricultural crops (straw, rice husks, corn cobs, bagasse), herbaceous plants (reeds, grasses, bamboo), and nutshells (peanut shells, palm fiber). By adjusting the crushing and grinding parameters, the system can adapt to different raw materials with varying hardness and fiber content (e.g., hardwood requires stronger crushing capacity, while straw requires controlled particle size to prevent clumping).

(2) Specific requirements for raw material pretreatment: The moisture content of the raw material must be controlled between 10% and 15% (too high moisture content leads to sticking and clogging, while too low moisture content results in insufficient pellet strength), and the particle size is typically required to be between 4-14 mm. Therefore, the equipment system usually integrates drying and screening modules to ensure that the raw material meets the standards.

(1) Modular configuration: A typical production line consists of "crushing equipment (fine grinding) → drying equipment (moisture control) → pelletizing equipment (granulation) → cooling equipment (temperature reduction) → screening equipment (sorting) → packaging equipment." Each module can be flexibly added or removed based on production capacity requirements (e.g., smaller production lines can omit some auxiliary equipment).

2.Wet Bagasse Drying Process:

A.This process is mainly used to dry the bagasse  from 40% to 10-15%.

B.Capacity:10-12 Ton/Hour.

C.TONY use 2 sets of 1.8*24m  rotary drum dryer for this process, TONY hot blast stove is made of firebrick pan, shell with H steel plate as the frame.   There are 3 layers of fire blocking device inside, which can effectively prevent the fire from entering the tumble dryer.Customers can choose to use waste wood, biomass pellets, natural gas, etc. as fuel for the hot air furnace

Biomass pellets have many excellent characteristics. They have a high calorific value, generally 4200-4800 kcal/kg, close to medium-quality coal, and can provide sufficient heat; they have a low ash content, with very little ash residue after combustion, which reduces cleaning costs and reduces environmental pollution; they have low emissions, extremely low sulfur content (usually <0.05%), and low nitrogen content.
