1. The working principle of wet bagasse biomass pellet processing equipment

In the pre-treatment stage, raw materials are crushed to 4-14mm using a crusher, and then dried to a moisture content of 10-15% using a dryer, thus preparing the material for pelletizing. Pelletizing is the core process; a vertical ring die pelletizer uses high pressure between the rollers and the ring die to extrude the material through the die holes.  The natural lignin in the material acts as a binder, and the extruded pellets are then cut into 2-5cm lengths by a cutter. In the cooling stage, a counter-current cooling machine cools the hot pellets (70-90°C) to room temperature, simultaneously reducing moisture content to below 10% to prevent clumping and mold growth. Finally, an automatic weighing and packaging machine packages the finished pellets, completing the processing.

(3) Core components are wear-resistant and damage-resistant: The ring die material is high-strength: The ring die is made of carburized and quenched alloy steel (such as 20CrMnTi), with a surface hardness of HRC60-65, and the inner wall of the forming hole is "polished + nitrided" (roughness Ra≤0.8μm), which reduces friction during extrusion and reduces the wear rate of the ring die.

During the sugar production process, large quantities of fresh sugarcane bagasse are generated, with a moisture content of 60-80%.  If left unproccessed, this bagasse can easily mold and develop an unpleasant odor, requiring additional storage and disposal costs. The equipment can be directly connected to the waste output end of the sugar production line, processing the fresh bagasse into fuel pellets on-site. The resulting pellets can then be used directly in the plant's boilers, replacing coal or natural gas for heat generation during the sugar processing, thus reducing the plant's energy costs.

How to use the TONY pellet production line to make pellets from wet bagasse?

The process mainly includes the following steps and equipment:

1. Use TONY effective hammer mill to crush the slightly larger bagasse into 8-14 mm bagasse.If customer has enough Investment budget,he can also chose TONY Special Cutting Machine for bagasse which will be more expensive than the hammer mill.

2. Use TONY rotary drum dryer to dry the bagasse with a 40% moisture content down to a moisture content of 10%-15%.

3. Use TONY vertical ring die pellet machine to produce pellets with a diameter of 6-8 mm.

4. Use TONY galvanized pellets cooler to cool the pellets from 80-90°C to 20-30°C.

5. Use TONY double packing machine to pack the pellets into bags, each weighing 15-50 kg.

2.Wet Bagasse Drying Process:

A.This process is mainly used to dry the bagasse  from 40% to 10-15%.

B.Capacity:6-7 Ton/Hour.

C.TONY use 1 set of 2.2*24m  rotary drum dryer for this process, TONY hot blast stove is made of firebrick pan, shell with H steel plate as the frame.   There are 3 layers of fire blocking device inside, which can effectively prevent the fire from entering the tumble dryer.Customers can choose to use waste wood, biomass pellets, natural gas, etc. as fuel for the hot air furnace

TONY dryer use spiral tube material, and is not easy to deform.

1. Stable combustion efficiency: Sugarcane bagasse has a uniform fiber structure, and after being processed into pellets, its density is approximately 1.1-1.3 g/cm³, with a calorific value of 4000-4500 kcal/kg.  It produces less smoke and ash during combustion, making it suitable for long-term use in industrial boilers and heating systems.

2. Excellent pelletizing performance: The small amount of sugar and fiber in sugarcane bagasse acts as a natural binder during pelletizing, resulting in high pellet formation rates, good resistance to breakage, and ease of storage and transportation.

3. Significant carbon emission advantages: As a renewable energy source, the carbon dioxide released during the combustion of sugarcane bagasse pellets can be absorbed by the sugarcane during its growth, forming a "carbon cycle." Compared to fossil fuels such as coal, it significantly reduces carbon emissions, meeting the low-carbon production needs of businesses.
