1. The working principle of wet hay/grass/alfalfa biomass pellet processing equipment

Wet hay/pasture/alfalfa pellets are fuel pellets made from wet hay/pasture/alfalfa through grinding, crushing, drying, and pelleting. The production process mainly includes the following steps:

First, the wet hay/pasture/alfalfa is cleaned, cut, or dried to reduce its moisture content to below 15%. Then, the treated raw material is chopped using a rotary cutter and ground into sawdust using a grinder. Next, the sawdust is dried in a dryer until the moisture content is between 10% and 15%. Finally, the pellets are pressed into compact, uniformly sized, and smooth pellets using a pellet mill.

1.Grinding Process

A.The process is mainly used to grind wet hay/grass/alfalfa within 1.8m in diameter into wet hay/grass/alfalfa pieces. The rotary cutting mode of the outer chain of the gear, the rotary cutting rotor blade is sharp, and the blade types are various, which can be rotated to cut various bales of grass with different diameters, different thicknesses, different lengths and different water contents

A. The process is mainly used to crush 60-70mm wet hay/grass/alfalfa pieces into 8-14mm wet hay/grass/alfalfa dust.

3.Drying Process: 

A.This process is mainly used to dry the hay/grass/alfalfa dust from 30-35% to 10-15%.  

B.Capacity: 10-12 tons/hour.

C.TONY use  2 sets of 1.8*24m rotary drum dryer for this process,TONY hot stove is made of firebrick pan, shell with H steel plate as the frame.   There are 3 layers of fire blocking device inside, which can effectively prevent the fire from entering the tumble dryer.Customers can choose to use waste wood, biomass pellets, natural gas, etc. as fuel for the hot air furnace

1. Appearance of Wet Hay/Grass/Alfalfa Pellets

Wet Hay/Grass/Alfalfa pellets are cylindrical, with a smooth, slightly glossy surface, a density greater than 1, a grayish-yellow color, an outer diameter of 6-9 meters, and a length of 10-36 mm.

2. Calorific Value of Wet Hay/Grass/Alfalfa

The calorific value per unit mass of Wet Hay/Grass/Alfalfa pellets refers to the amount of heat released during complete combustion. Due to their high density and high combustion efficiency, Wet Hay/Grass/Alfalfa pellets can reach a core temperature of 1100°C during combustion, a calorific value of 3700-4000 kcal/kg, a density of 1.1 tons/cubic meter, and an ash content of less than 8%, demonstrating their distinct advantages over coal and oil.
