1. The working principle of wet palm nut shell biomass pellet processing equipment
The pellet mill is the core equipment. Its working principle is "mechanical high-pressure extrusion + mold shaping," which uses external force to overcome the gaps between raw material particles, compressing loose fibers into high-density particles.
(1) Feeding and Pre-compression: The raw material is fed into the pelleting chamber at a constant speed through a screw feeder. The frequency conversion control of the feeder (speed 10-20 r/min) ensures a stable supply of raw materials.
(2) High-pressure molding: A pair of pressure rollers in the pelleting chamber use high pressure to extrude the raw material into the annular hole (hole diameter 8-12 mm) of the mold. The principle is to use high pressure to make the raw material fibers adhere tightly, while the frictional heat generated by extrusion (temperature rises to 60-80℃) further activates the binding effect of lignin, causing the raw material to form a continuous columnar body within the mold hole.
(3) Cutting and Demolding: Fixed cutters on the outside of the mold (blade spacing matches the particle length, usually 3-5 cm) cut the extruded columnar body, forming standardized particles. The particles are demolded by their own gravity and slight vibration of the mold, falling into the subsequent cooling system.
2. Characteristics of wet palm nut shell biomass pellet processing equipment
(1) High-Pressure Pelletizing Structure: The contact pressure between the pellet mill's pressure roller and the die is increased to 80-120 MPa (compared to approximately 50-80 MPa for ordinary wood pellet mills). This high-pressure extrusion forces the fibers to adhere tightly, while the frictional heat generated during extrusion (60-80℃) activates the lignin in the nut shell, enhancing pellet cohesion and preventing loose and brittle pellets.
(2) Special Material Die and Pressure Roller: The die is made of a composite material of "tungsten carbide coating + alloy steel substrate," with a surface hardness exceeding HRC60. Its wear resistance is more than 50% higher than ordinary die, effectively mitigating wear from trace amounts of silicon and calcium in palm nut shells. The pressure roller surface features anti-slip textures to increase friction with the raw material, preventing slippage and improving feeding efficiency.
(3) Adjustable compression ratio design: The compression ratio of the mold can be adjusted according to the fiber content of the shell. When the fiber content is high, the compression ratio is increased to prolong the extrusion time of the raw material in the mold hole and ensure the forming density (final particle density ≥1.1g/cm³); when the fiber content is low, the compression ratio is decreased to increase the pelleting speed.

1. Raw Material Supply:
