1. The working principle of wet palm nut shell biomass pellet processing equipment
The core principle of processing wet palm nut shells into biomass pellets is to remove moisture and refine the raw materials through pretreatment (crushing and drying), followed by mechanical extrusion in a pellet mill to form the material within a mold, ultimately yielding high-density pellet fuel. This process converts loose raw materials into high-density fuel with a calorific value of 3400-6000 kcal/kg, suitable for boilers, power generation, and other applications.
2. Characteristics of wet palm nut shell biomass pellet processing equipment
(1) Corrosion and Wear-Resistant Treatment of Key Components: Components in contact with wet nut shells, such as the drying cylinder, feed pipe, and granulation chamber, are made of 304 stainless steel or treated with an anti-corrosion coating to prevent rusting from prolonged contact with damp raw materials, thus extending the equipment's service life (the overall design life of the machine can reach 8-10 years, 2-3 years longer than ordinary equipment).
(2) Overload Protection Mechanism: The granulator motor is equipped with an overload protector. When uncrushed hard impurities (such as small stones) are mixed into the raw material, the motor can automatically cut off the power, preventing damage to the pressure rollers and molds due to instantaneous impact. A manual cleaning door is also provided for quick removal of impurities, reducing downtime for maintenance.
(3) Sealed Dustproof Design: Dust-generating processes such as the dryer and pulverizer employ a fully sealed shell + negative pressure dust removal device. This prevents palm nut shell powder from flying and polluting the environment, and also prevents dust from entering precision components such as the motor and bearings, reducing the risk of malfunction.

A.This process is mainly used to dry the palm nut shell dust from 40-55% to 10-15%.

Core Processing Flow: A Four-Step Process Adapted to the Characteristics of Palm Nut Shells
The high moisture, high fiber, and impurity content of palm nut shells necessitates enhanced pretreatment and pelleting stages in the processing flow, as detailed below:
1. Crushing:
A hammer mill is used to grind the nut shells into 2-5mm fibrous powder, while simultaneously filtering out residual long fibers to prevent entanglement in the equipment.
2. Drying:
A drum dryer (hot air temperature 120-160℃) is used to reduce the moisture content to 10%-15%, preventing loose pellets during subsequent pelleting.
3. Pelletizing:
The powder enters a high-pressure pelletizer (pressure 80-120MPa), where it is extruded into 8-12mm diameter pellets using a tungsten carbide-coated die. The frictional heat generated during extrusion activates lignin, increasing pellet hardness (≥60N); finally, the pellets are cut into standard 3-5cm length pellets.
4. Cooling and Packaging:
High-temperature granules (60-80℃) are cooled to room temperature by an air cooler, and then unqualified granules are screened by a vibrating screen (the unqualified granules are returned for reprocessing); qualified granules are bagged by an automatic packaging machine (25kg/bag or ton bag) and stored in a ventilated and dry warehouse for sale.
