1. The working principle of wet palm nut shell biomass pellet processing equipment

Due to their high moisture content (typically exceeding 30%) and coarse fiber, wet palm nut shells require prior crushing and drying.

(1)Crushing: The shells are crushed to a particle size of 5-10mm using a specialized palm shell crusher (such as a hammer mill or dual-chamber crusher). Simultaneously, high-speed airflow refines the fibers, improving subsequent forming efficiency.

(2)Drying: A drum dryer is used, with hot air directly contacting the material to reduce the moisture content to 15%-18% (optimal humidity for pelleting), preventing sticking to the mold or loose pellets during forming.

(3)Pelletizing: Mechanical extrusion molding increases the density to 0.8-1.4 t/m³.

(4)Cooling and Sieving: After extrusion, the pellets are cooled to room temperature (to prevent mold growth) and then sieved to remove debris.

A.This process is mainly used to dry the palm nut shell dust from 40-55% to 10-15%.
