1. The working principle of wet palm nut shell biomass pellet processing equipment
The pellet mill is the core equipment, and its working principle is based on the extrusion of material by the pressure rollers and the die. When the material is fed into the pellet mill, the motor drives the main shaft through a gearbox or reducer, and the main shaft drives the pressure rollers to rotate. A.This process is mainly used to dry the palm nut shell dust from 40-55% to 10-15%.

Through specialized collection, pretreatment, drying, and molding processes, it transforms this material into high-quality, high-calorific-value, clean-burning biomass pellets. This achieves the resource, energy, and high-value utilization of agricultural waste, serving the clean energy needs of industrial boilers, residential heating, and power generation, while creating significant economic, environmental, and social benefits. Wet Palm Nut Shell has a high lignin content (approximately 30%) and a good fiber structure, naturally possessing the potential to be used as a solid fuel. Its calorific value, in its oven-dry state, can reach approximately 4000-4500 kcal/kg, approaching or exceeding that of common wood pellets (4200-4800 kcal/kg). The CO₂ released from combustion is equal to the carbon sequestration of the palm tree during its growth period, resulting in net carbon emissions approaching zero.
Ultra-low pollutant emissions: sulfur content <0.02%, nitrogen oxide generation 60%-70% lower than coal combustion, meeting stringent environmental standards (such as EU ENplus certification). As a waste product of palm oil mills, the purchase price of palm shells is only 10%-15% of fuel costs, far lower than that of wood pellet raw materials (accounting for over 60% of costs). Palm oil producing regions (Indonesia, Malaysia, etc.) can directly use pellets to replace diesel for power generation, reducing energy costs by 40%-50%. Pellet processing boosts rural employment, creating 15-20 jobs per 10,000 tons of production capacity, enhancing the economic value of agricultural waste. The dense fiber structure of the palm shells allows for high-pressure molding without the need for binders, reducing production costs. With a particle density of 1.1-1.3 g/cm³, its volume is 3-5 times smaller than that of loose husks; it has a low moisture content, is not prone to mold, and can be stored for a long time. It is suitable for coal-fired boiler retrofit systems, biomass-specific burners, and gasification power generation equipment. Its ash content (3%-5%) is lower than that of rice husk ash (15%-20%), reducing the frequency of boiler maintenance.
