1. The working principle of dried rice husk biomass pellet processing equipment
The core principle of rice husk biomass pellet processing equipment is to compress loose rice husks into high-density pellets through mechanical extrusion and temperature control. This relies heavily on the equipment's precise control of pressure and temperature, as well as the synergistic effect of the mold and pressure rollers.
2. Characteristics of dried rice husk biomass pellet processing equipment
(1) Highly Wear-Resistant Core Components: Rice husks have a high silicon content, causing severe wear on equipment. Therefore, the pressure rollers and dies of pellet mills are typically made of high-hardness materials (such as 65Mn alloy steel or tungsten carbide coating), with a die life of 800-1200 hours (compared to approximately 500-800 hours for ordinary biomass dies). The pressure roller surface is treated with anti-slip textures to prevent the rice husks from slipping and hindering effective extrusion.
(2) Large-Diameter Die and Wide Gap Between Pressure Rollers: Rice husks are hollow and have long fibers; if the die aperture is too small, it is prone to clogging. Equipment is typically equipped with dies with a 6-12mm aperture (larger than the 5-8mm aperture commonly used in wood pellet mills). Simultaneously, the gap between the pressure roller and the die is adjustable (usually 0.1-0.3mm), ensuring both compact extrusion and preventing material jamming caused by fiber entanglement.
(3) Segmented feeding system. Rice husks have a low bulk density (only 0.1-0.2 g/cm³) and are prone to "bridging" (the raw material clumps in the hopper and cannot fall). The equipment mostly adopts a segmented structure of "screw feeding + mixing and pre-compression": first, the material is fed evenly by a screw conveyor, and then the loose rice husks are initially compacted by a pre-compression device to ensure that the material density between the pressure roller and the mold is consistent and to avoid uneven density of the formed particles.
3. Application scenarios of dried rice husk biomass pellet processing equipment
(1) Biomass Power Plant/Cogeneration Projects: In some regions, biomass power plants use rice husk pellets as one of their fuels (usually mixed with sawdust and straw pellets for combustion) for power generation or cogeneration (electricity + heating).
