1. The working principle of dried rice husk biomass pellet processing equipment
The key to rice husk pelleting lies in the combination of its own composition and external processing conditions, which can be divided into two points:
(1) The binding effect of lignin: Rice husks contain approximately 15%-20% lignin. During processing, the temperature inside the pellet mill mold rises to 160-220℃, causing the lignin to soften into a sticky colloidal state, tightly binding and binding the cellulose, hemicellulose, and other particles in the rice husk.
(2) High-pressure densification: The pellet mill's pressure rollers apply a high pressure of 50-100 MPa to the rice husks. Under this high pressure, the air between the rice husk particles is squeezed out, significantly reducing the volume and increasing the density from 0.1-0.2 g/cm³ to 1.1-1.3 g/cm³, ultimately forming cylindrical particles of a fixed diameter through the mold holes.
2. Characteristics of dried rice husk biomass pellet processing equipment
(1) Excellent Environmental Friendliness: No wastewater discharge throughout the entire process. The production process is equipped with dust removal devices (pulse bag filter, dust removal efficiency ≥99%), resulting in low dust emission concentrations that meet environmental standards. The production process is odorless and low-noise, suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation.
(2) High Raw Material Adaptability and High Added Value: In addition to pure rice husks, 5%-10% of rice straw, sawdust, and other raw materials can be mixed in without affecting the molding quality. Agricultural waste (rice husks) is converted into high-density biomass pellets (calorific value approximately 4000-4500 kcal/kg), achieving "turning waste into treasure" and increasing added value by 3-5 times.
(3) Stable Operation and Optional Automation: Small and medium-sized production lines can achieve semi-automatic control, while large production lines can be equipped with a PLC control system to achieve full-process automation (integrated raw material conveying, processing, and finished product packaging), reducing labor costs and minimizing failure rates.
3. Application scenarios of dried rice husk biomass pellet processing equipment
(1) Rice processing plant supporting processing lines: Large rice processing plants generate a large amount of rice husks (0.2 tons of husks per ton of rice processed). To avoid pollution from husk accumulation, they directly install pelleting equipment. The processed pellets have two main uses: first, as boiler fuel for the rice processing plant itself, providing steam for rice drying and processing, replacing coal or natural gas and reducing energy costs by 30%-50%; second, as an industrial by-product sold to other energy-consuming enterprises.
(2) Energy-consuming enterprises such as food and chemical plants: Some food factories (such as biscuit factories and wineries) and chemical plants require low-pressure steam or hot water and will purchase rice husk pellets as fuel for biomass boilers. Compared to coal, rice husk pellets produce no sulfur emissions when burned, meeting environmental protection requirements; compared to natural gas, the cost is lower, making it suitable for enterprises sensitive to environmental protection and costs.
(3) Industrial auxiliary materials such as paper and board: A few paper mills will crush rice husk particles and use them as filler materials for pulp to improve the strength of paper; some artificial board factories will mix rice husk particles with resin to press low-cost fiberboard, and use the hardness and stability of rice husk to improve the performance of the board.

1. Raw Material Supply Risk
Risk: Rice harvesting is seasonal (double-cropping rice in the south, single-cropping rice in the north), which may lead to raw material shortages during the off-season.
Countermeasure: Sign long-term supply agreements (at least 1 year) with rice processing plants. During the off-season, rice husks can be stored (must be moisture-proof, storage period not exceeding 3 months), or 5%-10% rice straw and sawdust can be mixed in to supplement raw materials.

Countermeasure: Obtain environmental impact assessment procedures in advance, select low-noise equipment, and regularly maintain the dust removal system to ensure emissions meet standards.
3. Market Price Fluctuation Risk
Risk: The price of biomass pellets is affected by the prices of alternative energy sources such as coal and natural gas, which may lead to price declines.
Solutions: Expand diversified sales channels (e.g., sign long-term supply contracts with biomass power plants and food factories), develop high value-added products (e.g., export-grade pellets and molded fuel rods), and reduce dependence on a single market.
4. Equipment Failure Risk
Risk: Rice husks have a high silicon content (approximately 15%-20%), which easily wears down molds and pressure rollers, leading to equipment downtime.
Solutions: Select wear-resistant materials for vulnerable parts (e.g., alloy steel molds), stock 1-2 sets of spare vulnerable parts, conduct regular (quarterly) equipment maintenance, and purchase high-quality pellet mill equipment from manufacturers such as TONY.

1. Extremely Low Pollutant Emissions:

3. Ash residue can be utilized as a resource:
The ash residue after combustion is rich in elements such as silicon and potassium, which can be directly used as organic fertilizer to return to the field (to improve soil permeability), or processed into silicon fertilizer and potassium fertilizer, realizing the recycling of "fuel-ash residue-fertilizer" without waste pollution.
