TONY Wet Electrostatic Precipitator is a kind of high voltage electrostatic dust removal equipment used to deal with wet gas, mainly used to remove dust, acid fog, water droplets, aerosols, odor PM2.5 and other harmful substances in wet gas, is the ideal equipment to control atmospheric dust pollution. The dust is charged by high voltage corona discharge, and the charged dust reaches the dust collecting plate/tube under the action of electric field force.

TONY Wet Electrostatic Precipitator and Dry Wet Electrostatic Precipitator have the same dust collection principle, both rely on high voltage corona discharge to charge the dust, and the charged dust reaches the dust collecting plate tube under the action of electric field force. Dry electric dust collector mainly deals with dry gas with very low water content, and wet electric dust collector mainly deals with wet gas with high water content and even saturation. There is a big difference between WESP and DESP in the dust removal methods collected on the dust collecting plate/pipe, and the dry electric dust collector generally uses mechanical vibration or acoustic wave cleaning to remove the electrode. The dust accumulation on the wet electrostatic precipitator is washed regularly, so that the dust is removed with the flow of the scouring liquid.

Wet Electrostatic Precipitator has two main structural forms, one is the use of corrosion-resistant conductive materials (can be excellent conductive non-metallic materials or metal materials with corrosion resistance) as a dust collector, the other is the use of water spray or overflow water to form a conductive water film, the use of non-conductive non-metallic materials as a dust collector.

Wet Electrostatic Precipitator can also be divided into cross-flow (horizontal) and vertical (vertical) according to the flow of waste gas, cross-flow type is mostly plate structure, gas flow direction is horizontal in and out, the structure is similar to dry electrostatic precipitator; The vertical flow is mostly tubular structure, and the gas flow is in and out of the vertical direction. Generally speaking, the efficiency of vertical wet electrostatic precipitator is twice that of cross-flow type under the same ventilation cross-sectional area.

Dust that settles on the plate can be washed off with water. Wet cleaning can avoid the captured dust to fly again, to achieve a high dust removal efficiency. Because there is no vibration device, the operation is more reliable. The devices that use spray or overflow water to form conductive film on the surface of the dust collecting electrode have problems of corrosion, sludge and sewage treatment, and are only used when the dust concentration of the gas is low and the dust removal efficiency is high. The wet electrostatic precipitator using corrosion-resistant conductive materials as a dust collector does not need long-term spray or overflow water, and only regularly washes according to the operating status of the system, and only consumes a very small amount of water, which can be recycled and reused, and the dust collection system basically has no secondary pollution.

The working principle of  TONY Wet Electrostatic Precipitator is to use high voltage corona discharge to charge the dust, and the charged dust reaches the dust collecting plate/tube under the action of electric field force.

First, the water mist is sprayed into the discharge electrode and corona area, and the water mist is charged in the strong corona field formed by the prickling electrode and then split to further atomize. The collision interception and adsorption of the electric field force and the charged water mist work together to trap the dust particles. Finally, the dust particles reach the dust collecting pole and are captured under the drive of the electric field force. At the same time, a continuous water film is formed on the dust collecting pole, and the captured dust is washed into the ash hopper and discharged with water. The working principle of the wet electrostatic precipitator is different from that of the dry electrostatic precipitator. The wet electrostatic precipitator captures dust through water mist, so for some dust with higher specific resistance, such as the flue gas of coal-fired power plants, the wet electrostatic precipitator can effectively capture and ensure the emission quality of the discharged flue gas

The basic working process is as follows:

1. Charging Stage: Inside the wet electrostatic precipitator, the high voltage power supply provides negative high voltage electricity to the cathode line to form a strong corona discharge area. The high voltage electric field ionizes the surrounding gas molecules, producing positive ions and electrons. The electrons move in the direction of the anode plate (or tube) under the action of electric field force.

2. Collection Stage: When the dust-containing smoke gas passes through this electric field, the dust particles collide with ionized electrons or positive ions, so that the dust particles are charged (generally negative charge). The charged dust particles move to the electrode (anode) opposite to their charge under the action of the electric field force.

3. Sedimentation And Dust Removal Stage: The special feature of the wet electrostatic precipitator is that there is a continuous flowing water film on the surface of the dust collecting pole or the water mist emitted by the spray system. When the charged dust reaches the dust collecting pole (anode) surface, because the dust in the wet state is easier to be captured, they will be deposited in the water film or captured by the water mist and dissolve and condense. The water film or water mist continuously washes the surface of the dust collecting pole, washes the deposited dust down, and drains the equipment with the water flow, thus avoiding the problem of secondary dust raising and improving the dust removal efficiency.

Wet Electrostatic Precipitator is an efficient dust removal equipment, with the following characteristics:

Wet Electrostatic Precipitator is a method of fully contacting the cleaning gas with the dust-containing gas and the washing liquid (usually water). It has the advantages of high efficiency, simple structure, low cost, small footprint, convenient operation and maintenance. 1. Check the pressure of the electrostatic precipitator, timely understand the working temperature and pressure of the flue gas, and install thermocouples and pressure gauges at the inlet and outlet flue when in use.

2. The dust on the cathode line, anode plate and distribution plate is too thick for various reasons, and should vibrate continuously when it exceeds 5-10 mm. When continuous vibration fails, the high voltage power supply should be cut off for vibration. If the vibration is still ineffective after power failure, it should be cleaned manually.

3. When the discharging machine and air gate valve of the ash discharging system fail, the high-voltage power supply should be cut off in time, and the production can be started after the fault is removed.

4. The chain and transmission parts of the zipper machine should be frequently checked, timely repair, replace the damaged parts (chain plate deformation, serious wear, chain off). When the chain loosens after a period of time, remove or adjust several chains with the star wheel tensioning device, and the sag of the chain should be appropriate to ensure the smooth operation of the zipper machine, and the chain should be regularly lubricated and wet.

5. The sealed connection parts of each generator, especially the inspection door, explosion-proof valve, observation door, etc., should have no leakage phenomenon.

6. All rolling bearings and vibration transmission structures outside the electric field should be lubricated regularly.
