1. The working principle of wet hazelnut husk biomass pellet processing equipment

The challenge in processing wet hazelnut husk lies in its tendency to stick to the machine and become difficult to shape due to excessive moisture. The equipment overcomes this challenge through two key technological principles. After drying, the wet hazelnut husk reaches the required moisture content, maintaining a slight stickiness. Combined with the high-pressure extrusion of the pellet mill, this process tightly binds the cellulose and hemicellulose within the material. Furthermore, the extrusion friction generates heat exceeding 100°C, softening the lignin in the hazelnut husk and forming a "natural binder," ultimately ensuring the hardness and firmness of the pellets.

2. Characteristics of wet hazelnut husk biomass pellet processing equipment

(1) Wide range of applicable materials: It can process nut waste such as sunflower seed shells, hazelnut husks, and peanut shells, as well as straw, sawdust, rice husks, and branches. 1.Hazelnut Husk Drying Process:

A.This process is mainly used to dry the hazelnut husk from 40-55% to 10-15%.

Raw Material Advantages of the Hazelnut Husk Pellet Processing Project

As the core foundation of the project, the characteristics of hazelnut husk directly determine the project's minimum profitability. The advantages are mainly reflected in three points:

1. Stable and Large-Scale Supply: 

Located in a major hazelnut producing area, hundreds of thousands of tons of hazelnut husk are generated annually (approximately 0.3 tons of shells are produced per ton of hazelnuts). The raw materials are concentrated in hazelnut processing plants, eliminating the need for scattered procurement. Some large processing plants even charge for processing hazelnut husk, while the project can obtain it at low price or free of charge, ensuring a stable supply of raw materials from the source.

2. High-Quality Raw Materials and Low Processing Difficulty:

Hazelnut husk fibers are tough and have a high lignin content (approximately 25%-30%). No complex pretreatment is required during processing, and the shaped pellets have high hardness and stable calorific value (lower calorific value 17-19 MJ/kg, close to medium-quality coal). The finished product qualification rate can reach over 95%, reducing processing losses.

3. Low transportation costs:

 Raw materials are concentrated in areas with high concentrations of hazelnut processing. Project sites can be located close to the source of raw materials (recommended transportation radius < 50 km), which is far lower than the transportation costs of scattered raw materials such as straw and sawdust, further reducing production costs.

Hazelnut Husk biomass pellets, as fuel processed from agricultural and forestry waste, possess environmentally friendly attributes as their core competitiveness, specifically reflected in three aspects:

1. Near-zero carbon emissions: 

As a biomass energy source, the carbon dioxide released during combustion can be reabsorbed by plant photosynthesis, forming a "carbon cycle." Net carbon emissions are far lower than coal (approximately 1.5 tons of carbon dioxide emissions are reduced per ton of pellets compared to coal), directly helping users achieve emission reduction targets and complying with "dual-carbon" policy requirements.

2. Low pollutant emissions: 

The sulfur content in the pellets is <0.05%, and the nitrogen content is <0.5%. Combustion produces almost no harmful gases such as sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides, achieving emission standards without complex desulfurization and denitrification equipment. Furthermore, pellet combustion is complete, resulting in dust emissions more than 60% lower than bulk biomass or coal, minimizing environmental impact.

3. Achieving Waste Resource Utilization: 

Hazelnut husks, which would otherwise require stockpiling or incineration (causing air pollution and land occupation), are converted into fuel. This solves the solid waste disposal problem, reduces the risk of "garbage siege," and realizes the ecological value of "turning waste into treasure."
