1. Raw material characteristics

Hardness of wood chips: Hard and mixed wood (such as oak, sandalwood) is more difficult to crush than cork (pine, poplar), and the efficiency is reduced by 10%-30%;

Raw material humidity: Excessive moisture content (>20%) will cause the material to stick to the screen and hammer head, block the discharge port, and the efficiency will decrease significantly. It is recommended that the moisture content of the raw material be controlled at 10%-15%;

Wood chip size: The thickness and length of the feed wood chip are too large (exceeding the equipment design range) will increase the difficulty of crushing and need to be pre-treated through the chipper in advance.

2. Equipment parameters

The speed and quantity of hammer heads: the higher the speed and the more hammer heads (must match power), the stronger the impact force, the higher the efficiency, but the energy consumption will also increase;

Screen mesh pore size: The smaller the pore size, the longer the material crushing time, the lower the efficiency, but the discharge particle size is finer;

The degree of wear of the hammer head: The impact force of the hammer head decreases after wear and needs to be replaced in time (generally, the service life is 500-1000 hours, depending on the hardness of the raw material).

3. Operation and maintenance

Feed uniformity: The feeding speed is too fast and can easily lead to overload and blockage of the High-efficiency hammer mill ; if it is too slow, it will not be able to operate at full load, reducing efficiency;

Regular cleaning: clogged screen or residual materials in the cavity will affect the discharge, and the machine needs to be shut down regularly to clean;

Lubrication and fastening: Inadequate lubrication of the rotor bearing or loose hammer head will increase mechanical loss and reduce operating efficiency.
