Main Structural Components
Rotor System: Consists of the main shaft, hammer frame plate, and hammer heads (hammer blades). The hammer heads are made of wear-resistant materials (such as high-manganese steel or tungsten carbide alloy) and are replaceable. Crushing Chamber: The inner wall is lined with a wear-resistant lining. Some models also feature toothed plates or screens for material impact and screening. High-efficiency hammer mills are machines that use high-speed rotation or impact to pulverize raw materials into sawdust. They are primarily used in biomass pellet production lines to crush various wood and biomass materials.

The final product size (i.e., particle diameter) of a hammer crusher is primarily determined by the following factors and can be controlled by adjusting certain parameters:
Screen Gap
This is the most direct factor controlling final product size. A screen is installed at the bottom of the crushing chamber. After the material is crushed by the hammers, only particles smaller than the gap between the screen bars are allowed to pass through the bars and be discharged. Particles larger than the gap are crushed again by the hammers.
Hammer Speed
The hammers are driven by the main shaft to rotate at high speed. Higher speeds increase the impact force on the material, resulting in finer crushed particles. Conversely, lower speeds result in coarser final product particles. However, the speed must be within the equipment's design range. Excessively high speeds may cause equipment vibration and increased energy consumption.
Hammer-Screen Gap
The distance between the hammers and the screen (i.e., the crushing gap) also affects final product size. The smaller the gap, the more times the material is struck and ground by the hammers within the crushing chamber, resulting in a finer final product. Excessively large gaps may cause some coarse particles to escape, resulting in a coarser final product. Hammer Wear: A new hammer has sharp edges and corners, strong crushing power, and a finer finished product. As the hammer wears, its impact force decreases, the crushing effect weakens, and the finished product gradually becomes coarser. At this time, the hammer needs to be replaced promptly.
