What problems may occur during the use of wood pellet machines?

After the wood pellet machine is powered on, the motor cannot rotate, but there is no abnormal noise, no peculiar smell, and no smoke.

Reasons: (1) The power supply is not connected (at least two phases are not connected); (2) The fuse is blown (at least two phases are blown); (3) The wiring of the control equipment is wrong; (4) The motor is already damaged.

Treatment methods: (1) Check whether there are breakpoints at the power circuit switch, fuse, and junction box, and repair them; (2) Check the fuse type and the cause of the fuse blowing, and replace the fuse; (3) Check the motor and repair it.

After the wood pellet machine is powered on, the motor does not rotate, and then the fuse blows.

Reasons: (1) One phase of the power supply is missing, or one of the stator coils is connected in reverse; (2) There is a short circuit between the stator windings; (3) The stator winding is grounded; (4) The wiring of the stator winding is wrong; (5) The cross-sectional area of the fuse is too small; (6) The power cord is short-circuited or grounded.

Treatment methods: (1) Check whether one phase of the knife switch is not properly closed, or there is a broken wire in one phase of the power circuit; eliminate the reverse connection fault; (2) Find the short-circuit point and repair it; (3) Eliminate the grounding; (4) Find the wrong connection and correct it; (5) Replace the fuse; (6) Eliminate the grounding point.

After the wood pellet machine is powered on, the motor does not rotate, and there is a buzzing sound.

Reasons: (1) There is an open circuit (one phase is broken) in the stator and rotor windings, or one phase of the power supply loses power; (2) The starting and ending ends of the winding leads are connected wrongly, or the inside of the winding is connected in reverse; (3) The connection points of the power circuit are loose, and the contact resistance is large; (4) The motor load is too large, or the rotor is stuck; (5) The power supply voltage is too low; (6) The assembly of the small motor is too tight, or the grease in the bearing is too hard, and the bearing is stuck.

Treatment methods: (1) Find out the breakpoint and repair it; (2) Check the polarity of the winding; determine whether the starting and ending ends of the winding are correct; (3) Tighten the loose wiring bolts, use a multimeter to determine whether each joint is falsely connected, and repair it; (4) Reduce the load or find out and eliminate the mechanical fault; (5) Check whether the specified delta connection is wrongly connected as a star connection; whether the voltage drop is too large due to the thin power supply wire, and correct it; (6) Reassemble it to make it flexible; replace the qualified grease and repair the bearing.

The motor of the wood pellet machine has difficulty starting. When it is under the rated load, the motor speed is much lower than the rated speed.

Reasons: (1) The power supply voltage is too low; (2) The delta connection is wrongly connected as a star connection; (3) The cage rotor is welded open or broken; (4) The local coils of the stator and rotor are wrongly connected or connected in reverse; (5) The motor is overloaded.

Treatment methods: (1) Measure the power supply voltage and try to improve it; (2) Correct the connection method; (3) Check the open welding and breakpoints and repair them; (4) Find the wrong connection and correct it; (5) Reduce the load.

The no-load current of the motor of the wood pellet machine is unbalanced, and there is a large difference among the three phases.

Reasons: (1) The starting and ending ends of the winding are connected wrongly; (2) The power supply voltage is unbalanced; (3) There are faults such as inter-turn short circuits in the winding and reverse connection of the coils.

Treatment methods: (1) Check and correct it; (2) Measure the power supply voltage and try to eliminate the unbalance; (3) Eliminate the winding fault.

The no-load current of the motor is balanced, but the value is large.

Reasons: (1) The power supply voltage is too high; (2) The star-connected motor is wrongly connected as a delta connection; (3) The air gap is too large or uneven.

Treatment methods: (1) Check the power supply and try to restore the rated voltage; (2) Change the connection to a star connection; (3) Replace the new rotor or adjust the air gap.
