The EFB pellet machine is a technology that compresses EFB from the original loose raw material into a formed fuel with a certain shape and density through pressurization and heating. The application and development of EFB pellet machine compression molding technology can effectively solve the problem of discarding and effectively change the combustion characteristics of EFB.
After EFB is extruded and formed, its density can reach 0.8 to 1.3t/m ³, with an energy density comparable to that of medium-quality coal. Its combustion characteristics are significantly improved, with long-lasting fire, less black smoke, high furnace temperature, and it is convenient for storage, transportation and use. It is clean and hygienic, and can replace mineral energy in production and daily life fields. Therefore, as an important means and method of biomass conversion, the EFB pellet machine compression molding technology is receiving increasing attention from people, specializing in the production of biomass pellet fuel.
The production and use of biomass pellet fuel are booming. Due to the renewability of biomass and its excellent properties such as low sulfur, low nitrogen, less ash and zero carbon dioxide emissions, it is mainly used as fuel for civil and industrial boilers for heating and even power generation.
There are mainly two production technologies for biomass pellet fuel: one is the hot compression extrusion molding technology, and the other is the high-pressure cavity molding technology. The hot compression forming process generally consists of several steps: raw material pretreatment - drying - heating extrusion - cooling. Among them, the extrusion technology often adopts die hole extrusion forming, or roller - ring die hole extrusion forming, or double roller ring die extrusion forming. This process involves a large number of devices, a complex system, high energy consumption and high fuel production costs. The moisture content of the powdered raw materials entering the compression equipment is required to be 10% to 20%. Because the raw materials need to be dried centrally, the production equipment is fixed and the factory production mode is adopted.
In order to overcome the shortcomings of the EFB pellet machine equipment system, such as complexity and high energy consumption, arduous exploratory research has been conducted in the field of biomass molding technology in recent years.
