1. Increase raw material processing volume and ensure continuous production
Small and medium-sized wood chipper can produce up to 1-5 tons, and large equipment can produce up to 8-15 tons, which can match the subsequent capacity requirements of crushers and granulators (for example: 3 tons of granulation wires are produced at the time, and 4-5 tons of granulators are produced at the time to ensure that the supply of raw materials is not interrupted).
Compared with the traditional method of "artificial chopping + ordinary crusher", the processing efficiency is improved by 3-5 times, reducing the "idling" of the granulator caused by insufficient raw material supply.
2. Optimize the quality of wood chips and improve the finished product rate of pellets
The fiber structure of the cutting wood chips is complete (avoiding fiber breakage caused by excessive crushing), and it is easier to bond and mold during granulation, and the particle forming rate is increased by 5%-10% (reduce "smashed particles" and "waste particles");
The thickness of the wood chips is uniform, and the particle size can be accurately controlled (such as crushing to 2-5mm) in the crushing process before granulation, making the particle density and hardness more stable, meeting the market's requirements for "high-quality particles" (high calorific value and low ash content), and the selling price can be increased by 5%-10%.
3. Adapt to mobile operations to reduce raw material transportation
Some wood chippers are designed as mobile (vehicle-mounted or crawler-type), which can be directly opened to forestry logging sites, orchards, construction sites and other raw materials. They are cut into wood chips on site and then transported (the volume of wood chips is 40%-60% lower than that of the raw wood), and the transportation cost is reduced by 30%-50%, which is especially suitable for scenarios where raw materials are dispersed and transportation distances are long.
In summary, in the scenarios of large fluctuations in raw material prices and expanding production capacity, the value of "reducing costs and increasing efficiency" of wood chippers is more significant, and it is the "basic core equipment" for large-scale pellet production.
