The biomass pellet machine can solidify and extrude into high-density pellet fuel various materials such as logs, wood chips, wood shavings, corn and wheat straws, rice straws, construction formwork, woodworking offcuts, fruit shells, fruit residues, palm materials, and sludge with wood chips, etc. through pretreatment and processing.

If during the processing, the produced pellets are loosely formed or not formed at all, the first reaction of many users is whether there is a problem with the machine. Of course, first of all, we need to check whether all parts of the machine are normal and find out the crux of the problem through debugging. If the equipment is normal, then there are other reasons. We have specifically summarized three common reasons.

I. Problems with the Raw Materials Themselves

Different raw materials have different characteristics, and their fiber structures are also different, so the difficulty of molding varies. For example, palm materials are relatively difficult to press, while wood chips have their own bonding effect at a high temperature of 80 degrees Celsius, so no adhesives are required. In addition, if it is a mixture of materials, the mixing ratio of each material will also affect the molding rate.

II. The Moisture Content of the Raw Materials

When making biomass molded pellets, the moisture content of the raw materials is an important indicator. If the moisture content is too high, the produced pellets will be very soft and not easy to form. In this case, a drying process needs to be adopted to ensure the normal granulation of the pellet machine. Generally, the moisture content is about 15%. Liangyou will conduct targeted process design according to the customer's raw materials and provide professional solutions.

III. The Particle Size of the Raw Materials

The length of the particle size of the raw materials is also an important factor affecting the granulation and molding. Usually, the crushing particle size is about 3-4mm and should not be larger than 5mm. The smaller the crushing particle size, the easier it is to form, but it can't be too small either, otherwise, there will be a situation of excessive powder content. If the particle size is too large, it will lead to the abnormal and ineffective operation of the granulation equipment, resulting in problems such as high energy consumption, low output, uneven pellets, and cracks on the surface of the finished pellets, which will greatly affect the production efficiency.

TONY can design the pellet machine production line equipment for customers according to their specific needs, meeting the granulation requirements of various raw materials. The finished products are beautiful in appearance and the pellets are uniform, which improves the market competitiveness for customers.
