1. Raw materials cannot enter the granulation chamber

Cause of failure:

The modulator is blocked or the feed port is arched

The feeder skein drive is faulty

Feeder skewer blocked

Elimination method:

Clear the conditioner or feed port

Check the feeder skein drive and troubleshoot

Clean material from feeder winch.

2. Raw materials enter the granulation chamber but no particles can be pressed out

Cause of failure:

Die plugging

Too much moisture in raw materials

Die roll gap is too large

The feed scraper is badly worn

Die roll wear is serious

Elimination method:

Remove feed from die holes

Control moisture in feedstock and steam

Re-adjust the die roll clearance

Replace the scraper and die roll.

3. The granulator machine cannot be started

Cause of failure:

There is accumulation in the pelletizing room

Circuit problem

The travel switch must not touch the brake disc or the lever on the door

Elimination method:

Clean up

Check the circuit and troubleshoot

Check the stroke switch.

4. Noise, violent vibration

Cause of failure:

Bearing damaged

Ring die roller wear is serious

The gap between the ring die and the press roll is too small

Foreign body in the conditioner or feeder

The main shaft bearing is too loose

Change bearing

Change roll

Adjust the gap between die rolls appropriately

Clean up foreign matter

Tighten the nut to reduce the clearance.

5. Uneven particle quality

Cause of failure:

Steam pipe steam supply is insufficient or pressure varies

The delivery of raw materials is unstable

Deflector blade wear causes uneven feeding

Check steam line

Adjust feed speed

Replace deflector blade scraper.

6. The granulator stops working

Cause of failure:

Speed control instrument parameter setting is not reasonable

Part or all of the V-belt is severely worn or broken

Due to overload or impurities stuck between the press roll and the ring die, the spindle rotates and the travel switch falls off

The pressure of the hoop is not enough, or the brake disc is stained with grease, so that the spindle rotates and the travel switch is removed

Line fault

Elimination method:

Re-adjust the V-belt tension or check the pressure value on the pressure gauge of the hydraulic system and reset its pressure value if necessary (adjust carefully)

Reset its parameters

Install a new set of V-belts, you can't just replace part of it

Reset the spindle and travel switch

Reset hoop oil pressure or clean brake disc

Check the wiring.

7. The granulator is often blocked

Cause of failure:

Uneven distribution of deflection scraper wear material

Roll wear

Press roll jam

Deflection scraper assembly position is incorrect

High water content of raw materials

Elimination method:

Replace with a new deflection scraper

Replace with a new press roller

Check roll

Reassemble the deflection scraper

Lower water content.

8. The temperature of the spindle head rises too high

Cause of failure:

The main shaft bearing clearance is too small

Elimination method:

Loosen the compression nut properly.

9. The granulator is smoking

Cause of failure:

The wear of the scraper causes a hard material layer to form between the press roll and the rotor support plate

Not enough V-belt tension

The hard material is deposited between the support plates behind the roller to form a hard material layer

Elimination method:

Install the new scraper

Tensioning the V-belt

Remove hard material and lubricate main bearing until grease emerges from behind rear support plate.

10. The sound of ticking is heard every turn of the granulator

Cause of failure:

There are metal impurities in the ring mold

Elimination method:

Check the inner surface of the ring mold and remove metal impurities.

11. The output of pellet machine is insufficient, and the main motor is full load

Cause of failure:

Due to the addition of too much steam (only refers to the temperature, humidity especially sensitive materials)

Because the ring die is too thick

Due to the poor quality of the steam, the water content is high

The material is not sufficiently conditioned

The gap between the roller and the ring die is too large

Excessive wear of rollers and ring dies

Formulation is not good or crushing size is too large

Elimination method:

Less steam should be added

The thickness of the ring die appropriate to the material should be used

The gas supply system should be readjusted

Increase the amount of steam added or extend the conditioning time

Readjust clearance

Replace the press roll and ring die

Adjust the formulation or replace the screen with a small aperture

12. The ring die breaks after wear to a certain extent

Cause of failure:

There are foreign bodies in the pressed film

Too thin ring die was used

There's something wrong with the fixing of the ring die

Elimination method:

Cleaning of materials should be improved

Use thicker rings with stepped holes

Check whether the ring die drive rim and fastening bolts are locked, and replace the drive rim if necessary.

13. Roller bearing is easy to damage

Cause of failure:

Hard foreign bodies exist in the material

The gap between the roller and the ring die is too large

Improper grease was used

Too little grease is added to the press roll

Faulty bearing end caps and seals were used

Used other manufacturers, poor quality roller bearings

Elimination method:

Improved material cleaning

Properly adjust the gap between the roller and the ring die

Use grease as prescribed

Add sufficient grease as prescribed

Replace bearing end caps and seals.
